A. Residential Fee. There is hereby established a $3.00 per month per household fee to be used for storm system maintenance and new construction.

B. Commercial Fee. There is hereby established a commercial storm system maintenance and new construction fee, and it is based upon the residential equivalent of impervious area (including, but not limited to, roof, parking, and sidewalks). A residential equivalent area is fixed at 2,500 square feet. For example, if a commercial development has 10,000 square feet of impervious area, that development would be charged a monthly fee based on four residential equivalents or $12.00 per month. Each commercial development will pay a monthly fee based on the number of residential equivalents which the development has times $3.00 to determine the monthly fee.

C. All storm system maintenance and construction fees provided for herein shall be billed monthly as part of the normal city utility bill.

D. The fees provided for in this section may be changed and/or amended by the city council as part of the West Point City fee schedule. [Code 2000 § 9-3-10].
