The following definitions apply in this chapter:

“Butt” means the stand or support for the target.

“Field archery” means any use of a bow, of whatever type, to propel projectiles of any type.

“Field archery range” means the placement of one or more targets for the use of field archery.

“Public place” means any place to which the public or a substantial group of the public has access.

“Shooting position” means that place from which the archer releases the arrow.

“Target” means the area or device towards which the arrows are aimed. [Code 2000 § 6-7-1].
